HOLY WEEK AND THE LAMENTATIONS OF JEREMIAH

For the Morning Prayer on Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday, the Crosiers will be praying at 8:00 am in Holy Cross Center worship space the Lamentations of the prophet Jeremiah. These ancient prayers from the Hebrew Scriptures reflect the sorrow before God of the Jewish people for their own sinfulness and unfaithfulness in being true to the covenant. The public is invited to come and join us in this prayer. It is a special prayer experience to enter into as we go through the sacred days leading up to the glories of Easter.

GOOD FRIDAY COLLECTION

The daily news reminds us of the violence and instability plaguing the Middle East but we rarely hear of the shrinking Christian community there, a community that struggles to remain in the land of Christ's birth, death and resurrection. Please help support our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land by giving to the Good Friday collection. This Pontifical Collection allows the Franciscans and others to continue caring for Christianity's holiest sites and for God's people in the Holy Land. Please be generous in your support.

Confirmation Choir Practice
Choir practice for Confirmation will be held on Wednesday, Mar. 26th at 7:00 pm in Holy Cross Center. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Wahkon on Sunday, Mar. 30th at 2:00 pm. Anyone from the Parishes of Sacred Heart, St. Rita and Holy Cross that would like to participate in this joyful occasion is welcome to come
