This weekend Sister Clara Stang will speak at the Masses for Mission Sunday. Sister Clara is a Franciscan Sister from Little Falls, MN. Please welcome her.

This Sunday we have Welcoming Sunday for all the new parishioners who joined St. James in the last few years. We are grateful to have you in our parish.

I want to thank all those who came to the Mass Thursday evening to celebrate and share our faith together in the power of prayer.

I want to thank all of our Religious Ed teachers and students who came faithfully each Wednesday evening to learn more about God’s Son, Jesus.

German Festival (Bazaar): Helfen!( Help!) If you haven’t signed up to work at the festival please do, we have lots of open spaces! Work Sign up sheets are located in the back of church. Workers for the meal are looking a little weak, so, for some incentive you will receive 2 free drink tickets, pop or beer, for working!! Together we will have another successful year. Extra Posters are on the table in back of church. Hang them at work, store etc. Lets get the word out! Donations for the Silent auction can be made to Ann Jonas (685-4158 or ajonas@csbsju.edu)Quilt pictures are available to look at in the back of church and on the website. Chance booklets will be handed out this weekend and next. Please stop and pick yours up. Danke schön!

Welcoming Sunday: for every parishioner of St. James to come and visit with the newer parishioners.

This event will take place on Sunday, May 4, 2008, at 10:00 am (after Mass) in the church basement. A lunch of Sloppy Joes, chips, baked beans, bars, and juice/coffee will be served. In order to have enough food on hand, we will need you to RSVP if you are coming to this wonderful event. Please RSVP to Rose Mueller at 685-8982 by Thursday, May 1, 2008. Mother’s Day Brunch: St. John the Baptist Parish Center, Collegeville, May 11, 8:30-12:30

The Hill Museum & Manuscript Library (HMML), located on the campus of Saint John’s Abbey and University in Collegeville, Minn., is exhibiting Wisdom Books from The Saint John’s Bible. 28 original pages from Wisdom Books are available through fall 2008. The Gallery is free of charge and open to the public during regular business hours. Walk-ins are welcomed, but we ask that large groups schedule in advance by calling Linda Orzechowski at (320) 363-3514. The Hill Museum & Manuscript Library is open:

The Diocesan TV Mass is now ONLINE! Since March the Diocese of St. Cloud has been airing the Diocesan TV Mass on the internet. This is an opportunity for hundreds of viewers who can’t normally get the Mass on cable, to view it on their computer at anytime. The Mass is full 30 minute Sunday Mass of the week. Priests and choirs from parishes around the Diocese of St. Cloud volunteer their time to bring this Mass to the homebound. Please go to www.ksax.com ,click on the top banner and view the TV MASS.
