Catherine (Cackie) Upchurch holds an undergraduate degree in Theology from Franciscan University and a M.A. Theology, University of St. Michael’s College (Toronto School of Theology). She has had six years of experience teaching religion in high school (one year at Catholic High School of Pointe Coupee, New Roads, Louisiana; five years at Mount St. Mary in Little Rock.

Catherine has been an instructor in adult education and formation classes in area Catholic parishes (topics include Church History, Biblical Study and Spirituality, Prayer, Vatican II, Lay Ministry, Christology, small group dynamics). She has also been an Instructor for Permanent Diaconate Formation program for the Diocese of Little Rock, as well as instructor in the diocesan Theology Institute. The courses include Church History; Hebrew Prophets; Psalms, Prophets, and Wisdom Literature; Scripture and Tradition.

She is currently the Director of  Little Rock Scripture Study and has worked there since 1989. She continues to develop materials, and to provide workshops.  In addition, the Director works directly with Liturgical Press in Collegeville, MN to oversee all aspects of product development, production, marketing, shipping, etc.  She also oversees international LRSS partnerships with the Petrie Catholic Community in Queensland, Australia, and Noah’s Ark Ltd. in Singapore. Catherine is also Associate Editor of The Bible Today, whichis a pastoral and scholarly periodical.

Parking Notes:
Remember that the Highway 23 bridge across the Mississippi in St. Cloud is closed for demolition. Alternate bridges coming to St. Cloud include the Highway 15 bridge near Sartell, the Veterans Bridge right next to the Civic Center, and the University Bridge south of the downtown area near SCSU.

Parking:
Available at the Civic Center and in the ramp across the street at a cost of $5 per vehicle. There is also metered parking available at the old library, as well as parking at Cathedral High School lots which are located three blocks away from the Civic Center.
