of a Christ-centered marriage nurtures and strengthens husbands
and wives in their love for each other and God. This Marriage Preparation
Course will challenge you to grow in your relationship, spirituality
and faith.
The issues
and pressures you face are more demanding and stressful than ever
before. This course focuses on Gospel principles
and
scientifically proven skills so you can begin your marriage
with the tools that will make a faithful, lifelong commitment
possible.
The State of Minnesota
recognizes the value of marriage preparation. Couples who complete
at least 12 hours of premarital education,
receive a “significant” reduction on their marriage
license fee. To receive a Certificate, participants must
attend all scheduled sessions.
As stated
in the Saint Cloud Marriage Preparation Policy, “you
are required to complete a Marriage Course at least three months
prior to your wedding celebration.”
Course Content: Foundations, Faith, Handling
Conflict, Problem Solving, Married Love, Hidden Issues, Sexuality,
Forgiveness,
Natural Family Planning & Commitment. For couples entering into
a second marriage, Closure of the First Marriage & Blended
Families/Step Parenting replace the Married Love & Our Journey With God sessions.

Cancellation - No Show Policy
• A $40 non-refundable administrative fee
is charged for canceling your
scheduled Marriage Course.
• No Show ~ No Refund. Couples will need to re-register
and repay full course fee.
Course Locations
Pastoral Center is located at 305
Seventh Avenue North, Saint Cloud, MN (west of Cathedral High School).

Weekend Courses at the Pastoral Center are
on Saturday (8:00 am to 6:00 pm) and Sunday (8:00 am to 1:00
pm). The $140 fee includes
refreshments, Saturday noon meal, the Catholic Couples Bible and
materials.
Evening Courses are on four (4)
consecutive weekday evenings from 7:00 to 10:00
pm at the Pastoral Center.
The
$100 fee includes refreshments, the Catholic Couple’s
Bible and materials.
Saint John’s Marriage Course is
held on the campus of Saint John’s University, Collegeville,
MN (13 miles west of St. Cloud on I-94) from Saturday 8:00 am to
Sunday 4:30 pm. See map for driving directions. It
is designed with a mandatory overnight stay to enhance the retreat
experience,
which allows additional time for recreational activities and quiet
time alone, in the peace and serenity on the beautiful Saint John’s
campus. The $225 fee includes lodging, meals, recreational
activities, the Catholic Couple’s Bible and materials.
